Synopsis:
In 208 A.D., Emperor Han Xiandi reigns over China, which is divided into three rival kingdoms. The ambitious Prime Minister Cao Cao dreams of taking the throne of a unified empire, and uses Han Xiandi to wage a merciless war against Shu, the southwestern kingdom ruled by the emperor’s uncle, Liu Bei. Liu Bei sends Zhuge Liang, his military advisor, as an emissary to the kingdom of Wu to try to convince King Sun Quan to join forces with him. In Wu, Zhuge Liang meets the viceroy Zhou Yu. Very quickly, the two men become friends and conclude a pact of alliance.
